1. Pre-inspection & rug assessment
We assess rug material, construction, backing, colourfastness, wear, and existing damage. This ensures the correct cleaning method is chosen and realistic expectations are set before cleaning begins.

2. Dry soil removal
Rugs are thoroughly vacuumed to remove loose dirt, sand, hair, and dry debris. Removing dry soil first is critical for achieving deeper, more effective cleaning results.

3. Targeted spot & stain treatment
Specific stains and heavily soiled areas are pre-treated individually using appropriate professional solutions based on the type of contamination and rug material.

4. Rug-safe pre-spray application
A specialised cleaning solution is applied to loosen oils, embedded soil, and residues while remaining safe for fibres and dyes.

5. Gentle agitation
The pre-spray is carefully worked into the rug fibres to release trapped soil without damaging pile, backing, or fringe.

6. Controlled steam extraction
Professional steam extraction is performed using appropriate pressure and temperature settings to flush out contaminants while protecting the rug’s structure.

7. Additional drying passes
Extra extraction passes are completed where needed to reduce moisture and promote faster, more even drying.

8. Spot refinement & detail work
Remaining marks are reassessed and treated where possible. While not all stains can be fully removed, every effort is made to achieve the best achievable result.

9. Deodorising & pile grooming
A deodoriser is applied where required, and the rug pile is groomed to improve appearance and ensure even drying.

10. Final inspection & care advice
Results are reviewed with you, and guidance is provided on drying times, rotation, and ongoing rug care.
